PIT STOP FOR PROFESSIONALS

Port + Operations

Modern infrastructure, a short trip up the estuary and an internationally competent terminal operator make Germany’s only deep-water container port a reliable partner on the North Sea coast, with 24/7 operations, a comprehensive range of services and excellent hinterland connections.

Organisation

Organisation is the key to success

Two separate companies attend to port marketing and operation: JadeWeserPort Realisierungs GmbH & Co. KG is responsible for the operational sector, whilst Container Terminal Wilhelmshaven JadeWeserPort-Marketing GmbH & Co. KG attends to marketing.

Sustainability

Sustainable policies and sustainable actions

We take economic, ecological and social aspects into account in everything we do, every single day. This has been the case ever since the planning and construction phase of the port and it still plays a key role in operations today. Often enough, we do more than is necessary.

History

Our origins

The first suggestions for building a deep-water port on the River Jade date back to 1993. These ideas were followed by an analysis of the port’s potential and a feasibility study. JadeWeserPort Realisierungs GmbH & Co. KG was then founded in 2003 by the states of Lower Saxony and Bremen.
