It is also compulsory to keep dogs on a lead at the JadeWeserPort freight village
Due to the current situation, Container Terminal Wilhelmshaven JadeWeserPort-Marketing GmbH & Co. KG would like to point out that dogs must also be kept on a lead in the area of the freight village, which is owned by the company. According to the pertinent regulations, accessing the development areas on foot is forbidden and it is prohibited to bring animals into the development areas. The company would like to point out that dogs on a lead are currently only accepted when using the footpaths and cycle paths. Any breeding birds in the freight village area could be seriously disturbed by dogs running loose. Both the employees of the Port Office (harbour supervision) and the responsible department of the City of Wilhelmshaven will carry out more checks in the freight village and draw attention to these obligations.
