P3 Logistic Parks develops 140,000 sqm of logistics space at JadeWeserPort
Frankfurt am Main – P3 Logistic Parks, a leading developer and long-term owner of logistics real estate in Europe, is planning around 140,000 square metres of logistics space in the JadeWeserPort freight village (GVZ) of Wilhelmshaven, Germany’s only deep-water port. On 2 June, the leasehold contract for the 21-hectare site in the centre of the GVZ was signed with Container Terminal Wilhelmshaven JadeWeserPort-Marketing GmbH & Co. KG was signed. The project is to be completed in stages by the beginning of 2025. P3 was supported by CBRE Germany in procuring the land.
P3 Logistic Parks is planning the speculative construction of three logistics halls at Wilhelmshaven’s JadeWeserPort with a total hall area of a good 122,000 square metres. Including almost 11,000 square metres of mezzanine and 7,000 square metres of office space, the total lettable area will be around 140,000 square metres.
A special feature of the project is that one of the halls can accommodate customs goods that need to be protected, taking into account special structural requirements. P3 is also installing larger gates for the loading of bulky freight. The developer is also equipping all roofs with photovoltaic systems. The halls have a clear height of 12 metres, 17 ground-level gates and 111 dock levellers.

The JadeWeserPort has very good transport links. There is a connection to the A29 in the immediate vicinity. Hapag-Lloyd’s entry as a shareholder in EUROGATE Container Terminal Wilhelmshaven has further increased the port’s importance in international freight traffic.
