Visit to EUROGATE Container Terminal Wilhelmshaven by the new Chinese Consul General

12.03.2019

Yesterday, the new Chinese Consul General, DU Xiaohui, visited EUROGATE Container Terminal Wilhelmshaven accompanied by Chinese business representatives.
The eight-strong delegation was welcomed by Michael Blach, Chairman of the EUROGATE Group Management Board, Mikkel Andersen, Managing Director of EUROGATE Container Terminal Wilhelmshaven and Jörn Kamrad, EUROGATE Director of Sales. The delegation also included Captain XIAO Buzhou, Vice President of COSCO SHIPPING Lines (Europe), as well as representatives from Chinese companies. A brief presentation of the EUROGATE Group was followed by a tour of EUROGATE Container Terminal Wilhelmshaven.
The Consul General and his guests were impressed by the evolution of EUROGATE Container Terminal Wilhelmshaven, which for the third time in succession posted double-digit growth in terms of handling volumes in 2018. COSCO SHIPPING and the Ocean Alliance have been calling at Wilhelmshaven on a weekly basis since May 2017 – in the meantime with a service operating the world’s largest class of container vessels (>20,000 TEUs). The unparalleled nautical conditions at the port make fast and safe operational handling possible at all times.
Companies from China are among EUROGATE’s most important trading partners. EUROGATE representatives regularly travel to China to present Europe’s leading container terminal group at roadshows, trade fairs and numerous business events. EUROGATE is also represented through dedicated offices in Shanghai and Shenzhen.
