Adjustment of port fees at JadeWeserPort

21.12.2022

Wilhelmshaven – Port usage fees at JadeWeserPort Wilhelmshaven set to rise by 5% with effect from 1 January 2023. The Supervisory Board of JadeWeserPort-Realisations GmbH & Co. KG resolved the fee increase at its most recent meeting. “Compared to the development of the consumer price index (CPI) in the energy sector, material procurement and construction, this increase is moderate. The cost increases in the segments mentioned are massive. Due to the increased cost pressure in the port industry, however, we have refrained from setting the higher tariff increase actually needed,” explains Holger Banik, Managing Director of JadeWeserPort-Realisations GmbH & Co. KG and Niedersachsen Ports GmbH & Co. KG. Port usage fees have not changed over the last three years because of the crisis and also keeping customers in mind. Compared with traditional ports, fees at JadeWeserPort are actually still at a low level.
